Tea Bread & Poppies

Going, going, gone..tea bread and molten butter for breakfast. I left it to bake while I went for my morning walk and ate it hot with a glass of water (too impatient to wait for the kettle to boil). I took the rest over to mum's to share with the family for afternoon tea and the loaf had vanished before the day was out. Recipe from Pia's kitchen.

I wanted to try making that bread right when it was posted to Pia's blog. I love how the recipe was presented, too. Looks like it's a winner in your book!

Great use of color, as always.

Ah, those poppies look like ruffled paper...or crinkled raw silk..or..
And I swear I can smell that bread from here.
