The month that was:

• Spice Temple + Wasavie +Mille Vini x 2 + North Bondi Italian +Guillaume @ Bennelong + Alio + Nua Exotic Thai (was Wokstation) + ham (owned and run by the friendly boys named harry and mario) + Takeaway: Snakebean, Phamish, Mahjong Room, Sushi Train, Sushi Tei, MoS Cafe, Azuma

Dying to Try:

• La Brasserie + Taste Vin + Small Bar + Monkey Magic + Etch + Koi + Sideplates

Highlights

• Spice Temple: Chinese food like I've never had before + awesome space
• Bacco: Brand new Wine Bar + Pasticceria in the lobby of Chifley Tower (macaroons + a stunning latte / tonno panini on a handmade branded wooden board) all served to you by muscly Italian wais-coated men and around the corner is a wine bar with an amazing wine list, great salad and pastas like goats cheese ravioli with burnt butter and prawn liguine.
• Phamish's rice paper rolls - can't get enough of them
• Eveleigh Markets - Farmers' Markets in the city - yay - and they are really fabulous
• ham + ZimZala: Two awesome new cafes in Cronulla

Lowlights

• The shock when "some water for the table?" translated to a 750ml bottle each (see photo)
• Non-Phamish ricepaper rolls (Monday night mistake when Phamish was closed)
